To Draw a Pipeline

  1. Click on any one of the following Pipeline commands in the Piping gallery.
    • Major Pipeline
    • Minor Pipeline
    • Existing Major Pipeline
    • Existing Minor Pipeline
    • Solid Fuel Pipeline
    • Steam Pipeline

    The Pipe Line Tag Creation dialog displays.

  2. From the All tab, click in the Tag Number ( Business Key) field for the Pipeline. The pipeline properties will display to the right of the dialog.
  3. Make any desired changes to the tag number, or properties in the appropriate fields at this time.
  4. Next, click in the Tag Number (Business Key) field for the Pipe Run from the All tab. The Pipe Run Tag Number and Properties now display in the dialog.
    Note: Whenever you create a new pipeline, you are defining the pipeline process. Therefore, a pipe run is also created and associated with the pipeline, which consists of the actual pipe component.
  5. Make any changes to the pipe run properties in the fields provided.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Enter the coordinates for the first point, or pick a point in the drawing.
  8. Enter the coordinates for the second point, or pick a point in the drawing.
  9. Right-click to end the command.
